Thank you to Melissa who provided me photos of her twin's 1st birthday party, which took place back in July. She used the Circus or Carnival Party Printable Premium Set, which is now available in my shop. It's always exciting to see how customers use my party designs throughout their party. She did a wonderful job!

Here is what Melissa shared:

I am so pleased with how every thing turned out! We used vanilla cupcakes with white frosting and red polka dots. The twins each had vanilla smash cakes with the #1 in red on them. We purchased the cupcakes, cupcake tower and smash cakes from All Things Cake, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They gave us 2 free smash cakes and said I would be double-charged the rest of my life, haha!

Since we were having a circus party of mostly adults, with a few cousins and close friends' children, I needed something to entertain the adults, and about 10 kids. We rented a dunk tank from Joyful Jumps. This was a huge hit, since the adults got to dunk the kids.

My twins were born 3 months early. When they came home from the hospital, we kept them in a bubble through flu and rsv season, so this party was also their coming out party. They were definitely the center of attention.

For party favors, we gave gold fish in a bag soap. These can be purchased from Etsy or eBay. I bought the fish from eBay, which came with instructions and I bought everything else from Hobby Lobby. The kids loved them and a few friends told me their kids were determined to get the fish out of the soap that night at bath time.

I knew this day would be special to me and I had no idea what theme to choose for a boy and a girl. I looked through invites for weeks, and then I came across your designs and everything else just fell into place. I hope any of these details will help others.

I recently connected with Beckie at Infarrantly Creative and I am excited that I will be offering printable designs to go along with some of her upcoming projects! Her blog is filled with wonderful and handy ideas on recycling and repurposing random items.

The first project I worked on with her was to design a strawberry jam label to fit over recycled strawberry containers. The inspiration of the design came from my picnic invitation found in my shop. Beckie came up with a great idea to have the container hold her homemade jams. She also gives you step-by-step instructions on how to put this adorable packaging idea together.

Back To School Book Labels {Free Template}

I put together 8 label designs to use for back to school and guess what? These are text editable designs where you can personalize the labels with your own information. These would be a great and useful addition to school book covers.

The two pages found in the PDF file are formatted to print on 8.5 x 11 size sheets of label paper (or card stock). Be sure to print at the highest quality print setting for best results. Label paper can be purchased at any office supply store. Please note that the first text field box of each label (where you type in your name) will automatically update the information throughout both pages. This way you won't need to re-type your name over and over again for each label.

While everyone else has been posting about this wonderfully creative sewing theme party, I have been a little late in the game. I think I had slight food poisoning yesterday, so I didn't have the strength to post this.

Christine from Pure Joy Events is planning a "Sew Seven" theme party for her daughter's upcoming 7th birthday party. In addition to wanting name cards, thank you cards and favor tags, she had this unique idea to wrap invitations around a wooden spool and have a round sticker placed on top. I was sure excited to work on this for her.

So when she first sent me photos showing the overall look of the invitations, I was thrilled! I just love how they came out and she did an awesome job putting everything together.

Going through Christine's blog, automatically showcases her love of crafting and styling parties for children. That is why I can't wait until I see photos of her daughter's party!

Sorry for the lack of postings. It's really difficult to manage a household, take care of 2 kids and run my Etsy shop. Not that I'm complaining. Not at all! I just need to figure out a way to work on my shop full-time.

Updated Paris Passport Invitation Designs

Another happy customer received their package of invitation prints today and was thrilled with how they turned out! She ordered my Paris Passport invitation prints and wanted to incorporate a damask pattern and have the circle text design layered over the cover. She also opted to not include any photos.

I was so excited to receive her email today with the following comment:

With the upcoming Memorial Day holiday, I've been thinking of outdoor BBQs lately (stomach is growling right now...ribs...yum). So naturally, I started to think it was time to design some new Western-themed invitations. Bonjour! I'm so excited to show you photos of a Parisian-themed birthday party that Sara did for her daughter last month. Sara came to me and ordered the "Paris Chalkboard Design" invitations and other coordinated printed designs such as cupcake toppers, a welcome sign, bunting banner, favor tags and return address labels. Not only did she do a wonderful job, but she was such a pleasure to work with!

This chic party was taken place in Sara's beautiful home, which was filled with friends and family. Notice how all of the small details were tied in nicely to fit the theme of the party!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Bunting Banner {Free Printable}

As I mentioned in my previous post, my son Ethan, celebrated his 4th birthday last week at Disneyland and had a very last-minute party at our house with a group of family members and a few friends.

We had a great time at Disneyland mostly because Ethan was able to finally go on a good number of rides, despite the extremely hot weather that day. We even stayed for the fireworks display show that evening, which was worth it. It felt like we were in a Disney commercial where you see parents holding their happy kids on their shoulders, watching the various colorful lights exploding in the sky. It was such a "Disney" moment.

Ethan's birthday party last Saturday was very casual. There really wasn't a theme, except for a little bit of some Easter related activities, such as the egg hunt and I included some bunny-themed favors (bunny ear headband, Easter candy, stickers, etc.) in these cute little Easter pails from the Dollar Store.

I had also quickly designed some party prints earlier that week. I normally take months of careful preparation when planning parties, but because we decided to throw this party out of the blue, I had to do some quick thinking. I kept reminding myself to not spend so much time worrying about the details and to just have fun.

Because these designs were done so quickly, I didn't feel right putting these in my shop, so lucky for you, I'm offering the bunting banner for FREE! If time permits, I'll also try my best to make the tags and party sign available (and with enough interest) for free downloading as well! Of course, I'll have to change up the text in the files.

Disneyland! Here we come...again!

My son's 4th birthday is coming up this Saturday, so we are going to Disneyland this week and are throwing a small last-minute birthday party for him. Disneyland is the place where we have been wanting to go to since my first son, Ethan, was born without having to deal with the crazy crowd and the immense CA heat.

We went in July 2009 during the 4th of July weekend when my son was 2 years old. Horrible idea! It was HOT and CROWDED, which were clear reasons why no one should go, especially during the holiday weekend. Oh yeah, I was also about 6-months pregnant. There were moms waiting in 2-hour lines holding their little babies. I couldn't believe how determined they were to get their kids on these rides. Instead, I chose to sit on the side in any available shade. I think we only got on 2-3 rides that day.

We attempted to go again late last year, thinking that if we go on a weekday, no one would be there. WRONG again!!! As we approached the freeway exit to Disneyland, we were horrified (or at least I was) to find out that we were going at the same time as what seemed like everyone else in CA. The area was jam packed with cars and we later found out that Disneyland had to turn people away because it was already too crowded. There must have been a lot of people trying to get in because it was even on the news that day. We ended up going to Knott's Berry Farm, which is another amusement park about 15 minutes away. All of the rejects, like us, ended up going there. Although it was crowded at Knott's as well, we at least got in and my son had fun anyway.

Now that my son is older, I think he'll be able to fully enjoy his time at Disneyland. We have been talking about it for weeks now and he's very excited. I'm going to be bummed if it rains here again in CA and if it's crowded. We checked the forecast and it looks like it'll be sunny and made sure we aren't going during spring break, where kids will be out of school. So far, everything seems to be working out.

Now I have to quickly put some designs together for his upcoming birthday party!

I went to Paper Source the other day and found these "Useless File Folders". I knew right away that these were going to be extra items I wanted, but didn't need at home. I have heard of Bakerella many times before, but for some reason I never really took the time to check out this website. I'm pretty sure many of you heard of Bakerella, but I am loving this awesome recipe idea of putting cookie ingredients in a jar and giving them out as favors! This idea is not new to me, but now that I found this delicious recipe and some pretty photos to go along with it, I have to make these ASAP! I just need a good excuse to do this. Oh yeah, my son's 4th birthday is coming up next month, but we are planning to go to Disneyland instead. Maybe I can throw a very small birthday party for him. Hmmm....

I'm putting my almost 16-month old daughter to work (just kidding, she just wanted to see what I was doing).

I'm trying out the new Flourish Square Large Punch from ektools that I bought about a month ago. I bought mine for 40% off at Joann's. It's a new alternative way to make your tags, labels or cupcake toppers. I have a feeling these shapes will be popping up everywhere!

Valentine Mini-Cards {Free Templates}

I had to quickly put together some Valentine cards for my son's pre-school gift exchange coming up next Monday. So I used one of my popular "LOVE" design backgrounds as part of the design of the cards.

Feel free to download the non-editable PDF files. Print them on 8.5 x 11 size white card stock, cut along the crop marks and score and fold down the middle of each card. Each card will measure about 3" x 3" when folded.

I hope you guys find some good use with these templates. Now I have to figure out what to give to the other students!

I would like to give a huge thanks to Karen of Downtown Diaries for including some of my printable Valentine's Day designs in her recent post. Go check her out. Karen's posts allow me to live vicariously through her since I have such a different life now as a stay-at-home mom. Plus, her blog reminds me of when I use to live in Downtown, Los Angeles and how the lights from the city buildings would just come alive and shine through my windows every night. Oh how I miss hearing helicopters roaring through the sky looking for criminals, neighbors partying through the night and me going for my late-night runs buying food from the nearby taco stand. Ahhh...yes, all lovely memories of living in the city. Now living in the suburbs is a bit, how should I say...different, too safe and boring? But hey, gotta live here for the kids and good schools, right?

More Paris-Themed Invitations! Ooh! La! La!

Okay, I can't get enough of Paris related designs, so here are a couple of more invitations I made, which are now in my shop! This is another design idea that I started awhile back, but I just never had enough time to finish, until tonight. I really love how they came out. It sort of reminds me of those menu chalkboards that you see outside of restaurants in Paris. I was planning on adding chalk smudges to the background, but I thought these versions looked much cleaner. Of course, I'll be adding coordinating labels, tags, banners, and other party decoration designs to the shop. Sigh...these invitations make me want to throw another Paris-themed birthday party for my daughter.

It's almost 1 a.m. here in California and I should really be going to bed. Staying up this late almost every night is starting to wear me down. It also doesn't help that my kids wake up really early in the morning! I can't help it though, once I get going on something, I can't stop.

Composition Notebook and Vintage Inspired Invitation for Birthday Parties or a Shower by FLIPAWOO - Printable File For Double-Sided Printing

Remember these Composition notebooks growing up? I'm not sure if students are still using these, but I remember having to write book reports in these back in elementary school. Anyway, I had this idea awhile back to design invitations based off of these books. I was not able to start on the idea until I came across these books again at the 99 Cents Only store. I was surprised to see them there since I didn't think anyone was using them anymore! Well, I thought it was a sign to finally get going on these designs.

I went with my own designs and steered away from mimicking the well-known black and white pattern that the original Composition notebook uses for its cover. You can also see that I used a lined paper design as part of the backing of the invitation along with some sketchy handwritten fonts and borders.

Now available in my shop are PDF files of my "Composition Notebook and Vintage Inspired Invitations" to use for birthday, shower, and school-themed (graduation) parties. The vintage racing car, rocking horse, tricycle or airplane can be chosen to match the theme of your party. Other design elements such as fonts and colors are also interchangeable. The PDF files are formatted to make double-sided 5 x 7 prints.

Friday is here again! What a great week this has been for me. Since I started FLIPAWOO in November 2010, I have been having nothing, but a positive experience. Not only do I get to do something I love to do, but I get to meet interesting people in the online world almost everyday! I'm kicking myself for not starting FLIPAWOO years ago. Then again, I was working full-time and busy taking care of my first child at that time. Not to say I'm less busy now staying at home with my two kids! Seriously, how do other moms run a business, take care of the house and family? They must have extra help because I find myself staying up late completing orders. Thank goodness, I find all of this rewarding. I'm going to have to ask grandma to come over and help me going forward so that I can focus more on designing.

I have been receiving wonderful reviews of my work and here are just a few of the recent ones below:

Ballerina and Cherry Blossom Invitations

Snowing in Southern California!

So it was a FANTASTIC day yesterday!! It actually snowed in Southern California. The weather was very strange ~~this~~ late last year. We had so much rain in December and then out of the blue yesterday, it started snowing! It was enough where kids were happily making snowmen outside of their houses! I couldn't believe my eyes and was a little bummed that I couldn't join in on the excitement outside. My husband and son were happily screaming and laughing, while I had to keep myself inside due to a nasty cold.

My cold is starting to go away, which means I need to get cracking on posting some new designs for my shop! I'll slowly add the items throughout this week.

I'm in the mood again. Here's another free template for you to use for the upcoming holidays. You can use these as stickers and/or tags for gifts and bags.

Print these on 8.5" x 11" sized white cardstock or sticker paper using the highest quality setting to maximize printing results. Tip: Printing these on glossy paper will make the colors really pop. The files are for personal use only.

Follow-Up on Madeline's 1st Birthday Party

The photos of my daughter's first birthday party are now in {courtesy of Min Mi Photography at www.minmiphotography.com}. Read below for details of this party.

This Parisian-themed party was initially based on the French character from the popular storybook, "Madeline". I thought what a perfect excuse to use a Paris theme because my daughter's name is also Madeline! LOL. I did not want the entire party theme to be centered around this character since I thought it would be too cutesy. So I included other Parisian design elements and styles. The colors I used throughout the party were black, pink, and white. I was hesitant in incorporating black as part of the color theme, but I just held my breath and went ahead with the idea. I have not regretted since because now I find myself drawn to this color combination everywhere I go.

The day of the party was very hectic, but I was so fortunate to have many people helping me out. It was a party that I was planning for about 6 months in advance. As someone who was organizing this type of party for the first time and without any professional help, I realized that no matter how much planning you do, it will never come out exactly the way you imagined in your head. However, by the end of the party, I found myself enjoying the celebration of my daughter’s first year and was relieved that I did not have to stress over the details anymore.

Party Color Theme: Pink, black and white {with black and white polka dots and pink and white stripes}

Decorations: I designed the invitations, which were made to look like a passport.

Other design projects included tags, signs, and labels.

I also made the tissue wreath for the sign-in table area. The tutorial can be found at Blissful Nest. Instead of using a guestbook or a wishing tree to have guests sign-in, I used an Eiffel Tower, where guests could tie postcards with their written messages.

The table flower centerpieces were made out of tissue paper and I used spaghetti jars as vases. I filled each jar with pink gems and used scrapbook paper, ribbon and scalloped designed tags to help carry out the Parisian theme.

The photo op area was very simple to make. I purchased the tri-fold board from an office supply store and the rest of the items were from the 99 Cents store. The little signs had sayings for people to hold while taking pictures. Some had random phrases that read, “Ooh la la”, “Bonjour!”, etc. The back board should have been much bigger, but the photos were still fun to take. I had a good laugh watching some of the dads goof off with the prop items.

I figured that since the food menu already included some desserts, it wasn’t necessary to buy a cake for the party. So along with the help of a family member, we watched an instructional YouTube video and made a faux fondant cake. Not bad for a couple of first timers!

Many items were purchased from Michaels and some from Home Goods, Target and the 99 Cent store. Most of the printable files are now on sale at my Etsy shop!

3" Mini Happy Birthday Cards {Free Templates}

Today is my daughter's first year birthday. Although I'm looking forward to seeing her talk and develop into a more beautiful person, there is a sense of sadness that she seems to be growing up too fast. I wish I could hit the pause button and have her stay a baby just a little bit more.

To help celebrate her birthday, I'm giving away another free template of six 3" mini birthday cards. Excuse my poor photography skills. I promise, I'll get better, but they are so darn cute and great for those who don't like writing long messages like myself. You can also set these aside for future use instead of rushing out to the store at the last minute to buy a card.

Print the files on white cardstock paper (try different textures) and for maximum printing results, have your local processing printing company make these for you. I printed mine using my home printer and I rounded the corners using a puncher.

I hope you guys are having a good Monday! The new time change has surprisingly allowed me to get more things done this morning. For once, I found myself not rushing to get my son to preschool today.

I'm excited to show you a sneak peak to my "Meet Me in Paris" collection. I'm putting the finishing touches to the files and will post them to my shop soon. The collection will contain a customized invitation (passport greeting card or single card style), bunting banner, labels/tags, and sign cards (not all shown in the photos). These will be ready within the next week or so. I'm also still waiting for professional photos of my daughter's first birthday (or "dohl") celebration to come in so that I can post them to this blog. I can't wait!

Now that my daughter's 1st year birthday party has finished, I'm waiting to receive professional photos taken of the party to come in. It should be another 2-3 weeks. Hopefully by then, I'll be able to open my Etsy shop. I wish I can have the entire weekend to myself to get this shop opened earlier, but as a mother of two, that's asking for a lot! The shop will have a small selection of items to be sold, but in the meantime, I'll try to keep adding free template files for you to download. Circus Bunting Banner and Tag Templates {Free Party Templates}

Yesterday, I volunteered at my church's Harvest Festival 2010 event, which had a carnival theme. It was a fun event that had pony rides, games, performances, caramel apples, and so much more (all for free!). I was amazed at how much creative work went into this festival. Many of the other booths looked great and you can tell a lot of hard work went into them.

My community group put together more than 450 caramel apples and I was happy to design the sticker labels and put together the decorations for our booth. Now you can go ahead and download the bunting banner and the tag/label templates for your own use. These templates will allow you to input your own letter or number (to represent the name of the person or age). More photos below. If you have any questions, please email me at flipawoo@gmail.com.

You can print these PDF files at a printing company or use a home printer. These are to be printed on 8.5" x 11" sheets of paper and make sure the page is set to print with no scaling. For higher quality prints, set the printer to the maximum printing level or have your local printing company make the prints for you. Always get a proof first!

Bunting Banner - This file will allow you to print one edited page at a time. I recommend printing these on white card stock sheets of paper.

Tags/Labels - Can be used as stickers, cupcake toppers, and favor tags. I recommend printing these on white card stock sheets of paper (except for the stickers). Please note that this template will only allow you to input one letter or number in for each tag.

Blue and White Diagonal Striped Card {Free Template}

Here's a free template for you to download! I made this Father's Day card for my husband this year, but you can use this as a birthday, baby shower or thank you card (shirt and tie are not shown in the file)! The available PDF file will allow you to type in any text, such as "Happy Birthday" or "Thank You". Be sure to print the file on a white card stock sheet and if using a home printer, use the highest quality print setting (no page scaling!). Be as creative as you want by affixing any type of design piece to the card or go to an arts and craft store and purchase those 3-D stickers.

I printed the design on a textured 110lb. sheet. You can also punch out the corners to make them round. Have fun!

Tissue Paper Wreath Finished...Now onto the Fabric Backdrop

I FINALLY finished making the tissue paper wreath. The photo above was taken when I had started. This took about 3 months for me to finish only because I took my time with it. It's an easy project, but I cannot for the life of me do repetitive tasks for long periods of time. I have to always move onto something else. I didn't realize it would end up looking so big, but I think it came out great and it should make some type of an impact at the party. It will be in the welcoming area on the sign-in table. Right now, I'm struggling with trying to make a nice looking black ribbon bow to add on the top. I failed a couple of times already and they both look wilted, confused (with the ribbon pieces going everywhere) and pathetic. I'll post the photo of the finished wreath after the party in October. Hopefully, I'll have a wonderful looking ribbon bow tie. I'm also adding the letter, "M" to the middle of the wreath.

As for the fabric backdrop for the main table, I purchased the PVC pipes, connectors, and pink and white striped fabric. Instead of working on them right away, I left the pieces scattered in the storage closet, car trunk and in the garage. It has been more than a month now and every time I catch a glimpse of these items, I am immediately reminded that I have to eventually figure out how to successfully build this backdrop together. Let's just hope that I didn't waste my time with this idea.

While I was deciding today when I should actually start putting the PVC pipes together, an idea of adding another piece of fabric over the striped one came to me. I'm thinking of adding black sheer fabric on each end, then tying each side with pink ribbon (curtain tie). So the overall appearance of this fabric backdrop will look somewhat like a window, except you're looking out at pink and white striped design! I will also add a bunting banner that I designed towards the top.

Since I like to stress so much, I also decided to do all of the party decorations AND handle the party set-up on my own. For my son's 1st birthday, I hired a party planner and she was responsible for setting up the main table, balloons, and centerpieces. I am already regretting just a little bit for trying to tackle this without any professional help. Am I crazy? I think so. My daughter's 1st birthday party will be simple and I am hoping it is better this way in terms of bringing down the cost.

UPDATE! (08/31/10) - I went over to Amy Atlas and found this photo she posted of the tied curtain style I tried to explain from above! See photo below:

So I want to still use the pink and white striped fabric as the background and also add black sheer material on each side. The problem is, how do I hang this extra piece on the PVC pipes without it bending? By the way, I tested the weight of the fabric on the pipe and it's already slightly bending! Not only that, the whole stand is sort of swaying back and forth. Now, I'm too lazy to go back to Home Depot to buy thicker pipes, so I'm going to have to think about this more thoroughly.

Fabric Backdrop

I think I may have finally figured out a way to hang a fabric backdrop behind the head table. After searching and searching online, I discovered that using PVC pipes can do the job. I suppose I can always use this set-up for future parties as well. I am no handyman, but I'll check out Home Depot and see how "easy" this can be.

Pink and White Striped Background

For the past couple of weeks, I've been going back and forth in my head on whether to put up a pink and white striped or plain light pink fabric piece behind the head table at my daughter's birthday party. After seeing Amy Atlas' blog, she has now convinced me to definitely go for the striped version. It would match my invitation design anyway.

I'm also planning to put up paper bunting banners reading, "Happy Birthday" and "Madeline". I have so much to do!

Striped Paper Straws

I need an excuse to use these pink and white striped paper straws and they add a great vintage feel to any party! Oh, how I love the vintage look!

Project Wedding shows a cute way of using these straws. It's a good thing BevMo is in my area! I'm going to have to check them out and see what the costs are.

Update - I found some pricing information on straws that Peach and Pearl did. There's a contact on there that tells you where to buy these straws at a reasonable price!

Decorating with Stripes

At my daughter's birthday party, there will be a head table decorated with fruits, flowers, and traditional Korean rice cakes. At Korean 1st year birthday parties (also known as "dols"), the head table usually has a background banner attached to the wall. I want to avoid doing this. I'd like to use fabric instead to cover the back wall by incorporating stripes or maybe using the same design as the table cover. After looking at this photo, it looks more Parisian to use black and white stripes on the wall.

The problem is, how do I hang the fabric on the wall without nailing it on?

Following up from my previous post where you are able to download a free 4th of July invitation template, you can now download these festive party tags. These can be used as cupcake toppers, stickers and to help decorate party favors.

Download the file and color print on cardstock sheets. A 2" circle or scallop puncher is recommended and be sure to cut the sheet into strips for easy punching. You can color print these at home, but bringing the file to a commercial printer (Office Depot, Kinko's, etc.) will ensure better quality printing.

Ooh la la! Ideas are Everywhere!

A number of blogs have recently been posting on other Paris-inspired parties. It's very exciting to see how typical Parisian designs can be interpreted in so many different ways. I have listed some blog links below showcasing some of my favorite parties.

The image below can be found at Hostess with the Mostess. The French circus-inspired baby shower looked gorgeous and I absolutely love how the stylish umbrellas were hanging from the ceiling. This is the type of party I would like to do, mostly because of the vintage style elements that were used throughout the party. I am also planning to do a photo op and I may include some props for the guests to playfully use.

The color theme I am working on will be black, pink and white. Brides.com shows a great example of how I want to use these colors at the party. It also shows that the candy buffet doesn't need to be very elaborate.

Icing Designs threw a birthday party choosing a "Paris in the Springtime" theme. Pink and champagne colors were elegantly used. It almost makes me want to change my color theme to these colors instead! The antique style frame and tissue paper poms also add a wonderful touch to the dessert table.

Five Lucky Charms posted another Parisian birthday party. I love the idea of the girls decorating their own hats with ribbons and buttons. Madeline (also my daughter's name), from the classic storybooks, is known to wear a ribbon hat. This same idea can be designated at a table station at my daughter's birthday party, where the girls (and boys - hats with blue ribbons?) can decorate their hats. I remember seeing these hats at the 99 Cents store, but that was around the Easter holiday. I'm hoping the store is still selling them.

I'm waiting for my tissue paper order to arrive this week so that I can start making my pom poms. They'll be used as part of the table centerpieces, candy buffet table, and the main decoration table. I cannot wait to make these!

Paris is the Theme

As I mentioned in my first post, I have been preparing for my daughter's 1st birthday. Her name is Madeline so I thought it would be fun to base her party theme on all things related to Paris. Why? The name, Madeleine is the actual French version of Madeline. Also, my daughter's name, is from the popular classic books about a little girl with the same spelling of the name, living in Paris. I am not sure if the party will be entirely based off of this character, but I will probably focus more on items that represent Paris, such as the Eiffel Tower.

I was at Trader Joe's today doing my weekly market shopping. I love Trader Joe's! I don't go there as often as I would like to since there are other markets much closer to my house. I have always been drawn to the food labels and box designs that are produced by Trader Joe's. They use very simple and clean styles to sell their products.

I came across this pasta sauce bottle. I have never tried it, but because of the way the label looked, I did not hesitate to place it in my cart. It is nothing fancy, but it has a vintage look that has me constantly staring at the bottle. I love the old Parisian style and many of them like to use borders around their text. Borders will definitely appear in the printed invitations.

It is an acronym for, “First and Lasting Impressions Personalized for Announcements, Weddings, and Other Occasions”. Honestly, I didn't start out thinking that this name would be perfect for my business. It was a name that my husband would repeatedly use towards me during an embarrassing moment. I will obviously not go into detail of what he meant by it, but I ended up thinking that it would be an interesting and unique name to use for my invitation design business. Look at other strange names such as Google, Yahoo, and Zappos and see how popular they have become!
